5 Things to Say to Your Loved Ones, Before You Die
It was on a Sunday, the eleventh of May, 1997. Daddy had sent momma to church alone and asked me to come sit beside him. It was a good day because he felt well enough to sit up in his favorite chair, in front of the TV. I sat on a stool close by. He said Lea, I've got some things to tell you. I was watching ETV (South Carolina Public Televison) last night and heard about this. There are five things I need to tell you.
1. The first is, please. . .forgive me for anything I've done OR not done that has caused you harm.
2. Two, I forgive you. . .for everything you've ever done or not done that has hurt me.
3. THANK YOU for contributing SO MUCH to my spiritual growth and expanding my capacity for Love.
4. I love you more than you can EVER IMAGINE.
5. Goodbye
He crossed over the following Sunday. It was the most tragic and most beautiful moment of my entire life. The entire room was filled with Light.
Thank you Daddy, for teaching me how to LIVE in a good way, filling up every single day with work, play, laughter and LOVE as if it were my last. And thank you for teaching me how to die in a good way too, to take care of unfinished business, right now.
I love you!
